First introduced in 1919, the swashbuckling swordsman quickly became a hit. His first film arrived just over a year after his pulp debut, and more than 20 actors have portrayed him since. Alongside Tarzan and Conan, Zorro remains one of pulp fiction’s most famous characters, with an influence that stretches from Batman to One Piece.

Two-Face makes his first-ever cover appearance 💥
 
Created by Jerry Robinson for Detective Comics #68 in 1942, this historic original cover art accompanied the villain’s second appearance—just two issues after his debut. 

At the time, the character was still known as Harvey “Apollo” Kent, before DC changed his surname to Dent. More than 80 years later, his battle between good and evil remains one of the defining tragedies of the Batman mythos.
