The original theatre was located perpindicular to the current theatre, at the rear of the building with the furniture store in the front 3/4's of current auditorium and snack bar. The auditorium actually went to the back of the current Paint Store. You can still see architectural history behind the coffee shop (where projection booth was located) and paint store. Jesse Jones created the New Rio Th

eatre in 1948 into its current configuration after the Furniture Store caught Fire. Ron Burch took over the Rio and the Motor Vu at the same time in November of 1985 from Luxury Theatres (Tom Moyer), later Act III, later Regal. The name change from Rio to Fox happened then and was re-opened as the Fox Theatre on December 6, 1985. Luxury had closed the Motor Vu for the season and had no plans at that time to re-open either theatre (the Rio, had never run concurrently with the Drive In. When the Drive In was open, the Rio closed, and vice-versa). After Ron Burch took over, the Fox Theatre operated 7 days week, 52 weeks a year. In 2007 Jeff and Robin Mexico purchased the Fox Theatre and Motor VU Drive-In and refurbished both. March of 2017, the Fox Theatre once again changes its name. More remodeling will be completed along with the addition of Beer, Wine and Food in May of 2017.

Let me formally introduce our NEW selves. David & I (Christina) recently purchased West Valley Taphouse from the amazing Sam. We had a vision to revitalize this iconic location and bring life back to it within Dallas, while instilling a sense of community and support other establishments through positive vibes!!

We are in no means changing the name!!! We adore the history and passion that went into its creation. We have adjusted its direction to step up and ahead of the times with look, feel and taste!!!

The MUG CLUB is back, WINE or BEER glasses, best of both worlds.

Ladies you will LOVE the feel - fresh, clean, light, inviting!!! Yes, Gentlemen you are never left out with fun classy beer decorations. Still family friendly.

DOG super friendly patio, you might blush with how much we are going to spoil those K9 family members. So, bring those puppies/adults/veterans to the patio, on a leash of course, and appreciate the surprise.

You may ask what a VIP is......let me tell you....Mug club members will be given a token upon renewal. That token can be given to someone they think deserves a sneak peek or they think would want to join the Mug club family.

These 3 days are "opportunities for learning" for staff, setting them up for success by having a less hectic chance to learn how to function. We can refine and adapt things as we discover them. Given this is a close-knit group of customers, we figured they would be thrilled to help us become GREAT.
