As we celebrate this day of unity and equality, Pan African Film & Arts Festival is reminded of our mission to celebrate and elevate the voices of African and African American storytellers. Dr. King's dream of a more just and inclusive world resonates deeply with our commitment to showcasing diverse narratives and promoting social change through the power of cinema. Join us in honoring his legacy and continuing the journey towards a more inclusive and equitable future. 🌍✊

After thirty years of excellence as one of the most enduring film festivals in the world, we see 2023, the 31st year of the Pan African Film Festival, as β€œday one.” We are scripting a NEW STORY, digging new foundations and building the bedrock for our NEXT thirty years. We are REIMAGINING ourselves.

In 1992, we started from a soulful spark of impassioned ingenuity. For 2023, we will revisited that spark, reinvent PAFF to serve an emerging younger generation that will embrace our 6-PILLARS of Programming: FILM β€’ ART β€’ CULTURE β€’ EDUCATION β€’ ENTERTAINMENT β€’ TECHNOLOGY. Though much of the festival will be REIMAGINED, the best parts of us will be unchanged. We will continue to host, promote and showcase nearly 200 premium quality works of cinema. Works crafted by storytellers journaling the experiences and narratives of Africa, Black America, Black Latin America, blacks in Europe and Asia and throughout the diaspora.

Please plan on joining us on February 9 - 20, 2023 as we continue the legacy of this amazing festival all while creating awareness of the importance of our film, digital, art and technology from a Pan African perspective....from around the world.
