One of the most influential figures in Iranian cinema, playwright, filmmaker, and scholar Bahram Beyzaie has spent decades crafting films where myth, history, memory, and resistance intertwine. A central figure of the Iranian New Wave, Beyzaie is renowned for his poetic storytelling, powerful female protagonists, and deep engagement with Persian literature, folklore, and culture.
