🍿 Nimrods – a coming of age comedy about three friends in a garage punk band who get invited to open for Green Day.
🍿 The End of Oak Street – Anne Hathaway is back on-screen at The Gentry for the third time this year, this time in a sci-fi survival film involving prehistoric threats.
** These two are tentative until we confirm with our film buyer on Aug 31, so cross your fingers!

🍿 Practical Magic 2 - Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as the Owens sisters to confront the family curse once and for all.
🍿 The Passion of the Christ – Re-release of Mel Gibson’s powerful biblical drama depicting the final hours of Jesus Christ’s life and crucifixion. We'll have multiple screenings, but a local family is sponsoring all tickets for one specific screening (time still TBD).

Whoppers takes the top spot in the candy race on a weekend that was not a whopper for attendance. πŸ™ Super slow weekends happen sometimes for various reasons, but they’re rough on small businesses.

We’re closed next weekend for a private event, but we’ll be back September 4-6. We’re hoping to have The End of Oak Street and Nimrods on delayed release, though we can’t lock in the licensing on those until the 31st.
