Recent box office movies shown for one week. The new movies are shown from Friday through Thursday nights starting at 7:00 pm. Prices for admission are:
12 years and under- $2.00
Adults- $3.00
55 and above - $2.00
HISTORY: The theatre was built in 1935 and it is today at 90% of the original. There are only 2 art deco theatres left in Iowa

and we are the only one still operational. The front of the theatre is 24 carat gold leaf. The configuration is of a pipe organ. The movies were reel to reel with two projectors run with argon sticks. In 2012, The Charles Theatre went digital with surround sound. Headphones are available for use for the hearing impaired with a $2 cost for ear pads(that you keep and bring back).
