Galatea Films

Galatea Films We make good films with good people and have good times. 'Galatea Films' started as a way to put a name on films made in high school.

"Age of Innocence: FWHS", "Hot Fuss: The Movie", "To Be or Not to Be: A Hamlet Satire", and various music videos became the outlet for Carrie Ferrante and friends' creativity when not acting in or directing plays. Galatea Films started as a name slapped on projects over half a decade ago, but became much more when Carrie hit college, and became a professional filmmaker unlike others who ventured i

nto other fields. Since 2008, the Galatea "brand" has meant using collaborative filmmaking to achieve a common goal of quality and daring in the student filmmaking world. Galatea Films has evolved past the idea of a bunch of people in high school having fun with a video camera, and has become an ideal to which our crew holds ourselves to on each and every set, in every role we play, and on every film we assist on. In the end it's not about the name, but the mindset. And we still have fun doing it, just like those high school kids learning how it all works.
