The BolderLife Festival is pleased to announce it's auditions for the 2013 Theater Program. We are looking for actors ages 20-80, male and female, all ethnicities for our 10 minute, one-act plays. Auditions will be held one day only, on Sunday October 6th from 9am-12:30pm at the Bug Theater, 3654 Navajo St Denver, CO 80211. Rehearsal dates and times will vary during the months of October and November. Performances will take place December 7th and 8th, in Denver. Governor Hickenlooper Signs Film Incentives Bill

On Friday, Governor John Hickenlooper signed into law HB-1286, the "Film Production Activities in Colorado" bill. The milestone event took place at High Noon Entertainment with over 100 people attending to show their support.

The incentive bill features a 20% rebate on qualified local expenditures for film, television, commercials, games and other forms of content creation, as well as a loan guarantee program for films. A 50% local hire requirement is also in place. The minimum spend requirements will be $1 million for out of state productions and $100,000 for productions originating in Colorado.

Heads up Colorado Filmmakers! Spoken Word Cinema is a new 48-hour film challenge where filmmaker teams have 48 hours to collaborate with one of Denver-Boulder's most talented poets to create a cinematic interpretation of their poem. Their registration deadline--May 22nd--is next Tuesday. The challenge weekend begins June 15th and films will be screened June 19th at Boulder’s Nomad Theatre.
