👑 Odyssey Fact # 5 Costume Design

One of the most striking costumes is Odysseus’s battle-worn armor, designed to reflect both his royal status and the toll of his long journey. Crafted with layered bronze elements and weathered detailing, it evolves throughout the film to mirror his transformation from hero to survivor.

Costume designer Ellen Mirojnick and her team brought this iconic look to life with incredible attention to detail, making it a standout piece among the film’s 5,300 costumes. ⚔️✨

One of the coolest facts from the Odyssey is that the ship used during filming wasn't just a movie prop. Nolan's production used the Draken Harald Hårfagre, the world's largest modern Viking ship. It's a fully seaworthy wooden vessel that has even crossed the Atlantic Ocean. The real ship—and even members of its experienced sailing crew—were part of filming to make the sea voyages feel as authentic as possible. 🔱⚓️
