There's a new face around The Colonial! 👋

Meet Dennis Griffin, our new House & Facilities Manager!

Originally from outside Pittsburgh, Dennis spent much of his life in Southern California, where he raised his family and built a career in distribution before making his way to the Far North.

When he's not at The Colonial, you'll probably find him outdoors snowboarding, dirt biking, fishing or working on cars. He's also a huge movie and theater lover, so we'd say he found a pretty good place to land!

Dennis says he's grateful for the warm welcome he's already received and is excited to get to know even more of our community. If you see him around the theater, be sure to say hello and help us welcome Dennis to The Colonial!

September is doing a little bit of everything🍿🎶🚲🏴‍☠️

We've got jazz with Anat Cohen, canoe dancing, mountain adventures, Muppets on Talk Like a Pirate Day, films from around the world, our annual Raise a Glass fundraiser, and plenty more filling the big screen.

And just when September ends, we're rolling right into October with mountain bikes and the Manhattan Short Film Festival.

Imagine Best in Show... but the stage is a lake and the talent portion is canoe dancing. 🛶

Canoe Dig It? follows an eclectic group of competitors chasing the coveted Top Paddler ribbon at the Moosehead Regional Finals. There are rivalries. There are questionable preparation methods. There is choreography. And there is a LOT riding on song choice.

AJ and Ellie have begun their rigorous training for the world of competitive freestyle canoeing. 🛶💃

Their form? Questionable.
Their synchronization? Nonexistent.
Their Photoshop skills? Also questionable.
Their confidence? Unreasonably high.

See what freestyle canoeing is actually supposed to look like in Canoe Dig It?, a mockumentary about competitors battling it out in the very real sport of canoe dancing.
