Sorry I couldn’t update the Facebook sooner. I am super super super busy handling all the other things I have to do at my full-time job but our Internet is down there so this is the best I can do.

I’ve been trying really hard to catch up on everything outside of the Drive-In so consider this the official post. I thought it got posted earlier this week but I guess it didn’t. So I’m sorry this is the best I can do given my time and resources right now.

The same goes for the reservations online. They were up Monday, but I haven’t been able to add Mario to the “Now Showing” section thanks to internet issues that I have been stuck troubleshooting all week. You can still reserve your spot and when I get a chance, I’ll add Mario to it, but it doesn’t change the price or anything. Just know that Mario is the second feature.

It was another successful swap meet but it will be our last one we do on a Saturday morning after our movie schedule changes. That is because after Labor Day we will no longer be showing movies on Friday nights once high school football begins so we are closing out the year with swaps meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month.

I apologize I didn’t post pics of their items sooner but for once I didn’t have to. We had such a steady flow of customers that it didn’t feel as necessary to rally the troops as it has in the past. Plus the heat really took it out of me and working so late the night before did too.

Our next swap meet will be from 2pm-6pm (after church) on Sunday, August 9th with a pre-game vendor appreciation pot luck. This is a chance for anyone who has joined us in the past to come showcase any of their favorite foods so keep an eye out for the event details along with an email for an RSVP to see who all may be bringing something. All are welcome tho!

Thanks again for everyone who came out and a special pat on the back for those who stuck it out all day! That heat hurt me but it gave me another good reason to move the rest of them to Sunday afternoon.

I caught wind that we might even have some pigs, goats and hay this time! I believe I heard Avon will be there… then of course there’s our lifesaver KJ’s Lemonades & Fizz slangin dranks to keep us refreshed in case it gets too hot 🥵

So who here wants to take bets on us actually not closing by noon and making it long enough for the sleepy heads to wake up and join for once? Well I got $250 on my cooling tent and I’ll even top it up with a big jug of free ice water 😅

BTW I have a confession… I absolutely hated every minute of the four weeks it took to make that newsletter so you better enjoy it 😆 I promise I’ll never dog someone for using Ai to make a poster ever again 🤓 doesn’t mean I’ll use it but I’ll stop making fun of them 🥸

And YES it is movie night all weekend long! I’ve been waiting all summer for Mario Galaxy. Maybe I’ll actually sit down and watch it later (but it’s the second feature and I’m exhausted so probably not)🕹️

If you come out tomorrow, be sure to stay hydrated and take it easy. I’d say stay away from salty foods but I hear people really like our popcorn 🍿 maybe I’ll charge extra to have it for the swap meet 😝

The weekend the live-action version of Moana hits, there’s another kid movie then so just be patient as there will be plenty of opportunities to keep the kids up until 1am 🙂

Intermission will be slightly longer than usual to give parents time to prepare for the second film

This week we will be closed Saturday, for the 4th of July, but, instead, on Thursday July 2nd, we will open our gates at 7pm and the box office will open at 8pm (just like on Sundays), for an $8 single feature. More about our second feature for next Friday will be announced soon
