Peter Weir delivers a true little gem with his movie, The Plumber. It's quirky, to say the least, but possessed of a great deal of charm. In order to win big in the world of film, this film provides sure proof that big budgets are not required. From the most ordinary scenario, Weir extracts the extraordinary with great talent. Consider the domestic storm water found in The Last Wave, the lurid secret held within a country town in The Cars That Ate Paris, the unbelievable bush walk of Hanging Rock, and finally The Plumber, who may be humble or a stranger sent straight from Hell.
