Dear Friends of the Theatre,
Six and a half years ago, our family purchased the Amery theatre and undertook a building renovation. Our goal was to breathe new life into the building and reopen it as a classic film venue, which we did on July 4th, 2013. We also added a stage and sound booth to the theatre to accommodate live theatre and music performances. It has been a very gratifying journey for our family, but now it is time for a new direction for the theatre's future.
A little over a year and a half ago, we were approached by a group of local residents interested in supporting and expanding the arts in Amery and the surrounding communities. This group was seeking to use the theatre as a home for their newly-formed non-profit organization, the Amery Arts Alliance. The Arts Alliance has been the operating entity in the theatre since then. Recent discussions with the Alliance have culminated in an opportunity for them to purchase the theatre building as their permanent home. To achieve that goal, the Amery Arts Alliance is undertaking a fund-raising campaign in order to raise the necessary monies to purchase the theatre. For pertinent information regarding how you can help the Amery Arts Alliance reach their goal of purchasing the theatre, please go to ameryartsalliance.org or go to the Amery Arts Alliance page.
For now, in support of their efforts, we are arranging for the Amery Arts Alliance to post and add links to this page.
Our family has appreciated all the support we have received for the theatre during our tenure as caretakers of this very special building and hope that community support of the arts in Amery will continue to grow with the Amery Arts Alliance. Please direct any questions you may have directly to the Amery Arts Alliance.
