Our Story

The Ambler Theater and Forest & Main Brewing Co. are teaming up for an exciting new series. Retrograde celebrates your favorite cult classics, plucked straight from the era of VHS and video rental stores. Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month from March to October to enjoy these films as they were meant to be seen, on the big screen, with your fellow movie-buffs.

The night doesn’t end when the credits start to roll. Catch up with us down the street for the After Party at Forest & Main for music, drinks, and complimentary snacks. We'll also be hosting trivia, karaoke, games, and other surprises each month! After party tickets also get you a drink voucher for that night’s gathering, as well as a commemorative poster for the film, and full access to the festivities. Join us for our kick off on March 21 with Ridley Scott’s Alien on 35mm. The series continues with 9 to 5 on April 18, Dazed & Confused on May 16 and Purple Rain on 35mm on June 20th.
