Here's a story from our very own Eugenia who had a picture of her grandma restored:
"Meet my extraordinary grandma, Cata, born in the winter of 1896. She was the fifth child in a family of ten, and her life journey spanned an impressive three centuries. Cata lived a remarkable 103 years before passing away. She got married at 29 and was blessed with four children, all of whom lived past 90 years. Today, two of her children, including my mom, are still alive and thriving.
Cata was known for her strong and determined character. Among the cherished memories and inspiring examples, she left behind, her greatest legacy is the value she placed on education. In a time when it was challenging for women to be recognized and pursue their passions, she fearlessly chose to become a teacher. She even relocated to a different place to pursue her studies, eventually building an awe-inspiring career that culminated in her becoming the principal of the main school in one of the country's departments.
Her influence was profound, shaping the lives of hundreds of her descendants. Thanks to her, I developed a genuine love for learning and now aspire to live at least until I reach 100. Cata's indomitable spirit and dedication to education continue to inspire me, making her an unforgettable and cherished person, a treasure, and a blessing to our family."
