The Alexandria Drive-in was founded at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to entertain and bring people together, even as we maintained our distance. As vaccination numbers rise and we are, thankfully, able to return to our new normal; celebrating in person with friends and families, attending events, and even going back to movie theaters, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Alexandria Drive-in.
We are proud of the impact the Alexandria Drive-in made over the last several months having donated over $150,000 to local charities and entertaining hundreds of families in a safe, fun manner.
We did not do this alone and we are grateful for the support of so many other local businesses. ALX Community, one of the original founding partners, established the operations and procedures which set us up for success. University Mall Theaters provided us with the valuable relationships we needed to access film licenses. Goodfynd, our food truck and ticketing partner, created a new business model to support us!
We thank you for your support and know that we could not have done it without the support of our community.
