Absolutely — tighter and punchier:
I watched One Battle After Another, and somehow the funniest part is that the filmmakers accidentally mocked their own culture.
The movie tries so hard to be Important™ that it forgets to be good. The characters feel like talking points, the dialogue sounds like it was workshopped in a Hollywood echo chamber, and the moral message has all the subtlety of a yard sign.
It wants to critique society, but mostly ends up exposing the insular woke bubble that made it.
Hollywood set out to lecture everybody else — and accidentally roasted itself.
One battle after another, indeed.
