Mom SaJuana Williams faithfully serves as our chapter’s Five Star Chair, and we are excited to celebrate this special milestone in her spiritual journey. We are so proud of her and look forward to witnessing all that God has in store for her!

Today, October 13, marks the first day of early voting for the November 3, 2026 Georgia General Election! 🎉

The Legislative Committee of our Amazing Chapter is committed to providing nonpartisan voter education to our members, mothers, and the broader community. An informed electorate begins with understanding the offices on the ballot, the responsibilities of elected officials, and how their decisions may affect our families, schools, communities, and everyday lives.

📚 Today, our Voter Education Series will spotlight three important areas of Georgia state government:

🏫 State School Superintendent - Learn about the leadership and administration of Georgia’s public education system.

🏛️ Governor vs. Lieutenant Governor - Understand the distinct responsibilities of these two statewide elected offices and how each serves Georgia.

⚡ Public Service Commission (PSC) - Explore the commission’s role in regulating certain utility services, including electricity and natural gas, and why its decisions matter to consumers.

Why does this matter? Because voter education is community empowerment! When we understand the offices and responsibilities represented on our ballots, we can make informed decisions based on knowledge, research, and our individual priorities.

The 2026 Georgia General Election is approaching, and every eligible voter should have the information they need to participate.

• TODAY October 5: Voter registration deadline

We are so proud of the Amazing teens of our chapter for successfully holding their 1st Teen Meeting of the Year! 🎉 Their energy, engagement, and enthusiasm have been wonderful to see, and the feedback from both our Moms and Teens has been absolutely amazing! 🩷💙

This exciting milestone comes on the heels of a successful Teen Retreat last month, where our teens had the opportunity to connect, build meaningful relationships, strengthen their bonds, and create lasting memories. The retreat laid a beautiful foundation for the fellowship, growth, and sisterhood we look forward to throughout the year. 🫶🏽✨

A special shout-out to our amazing teens (and Teen Moms) for showing up, getting involved, and embracing the journey ahead! We look forward to watching them continue to grow, lead, and thrive together. The best is yet to come! 🙌🏽

For the first meeting of the 2026-27 programming year, the Mothers of the Amazing Albany Chapter wore Burgundy as a symbol of support for individuals and families affected by Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait.

Sickle Cell is a cause that touches our community, and we recognize the importance of standing together, not only in support of those living with sickle cell, but also in support of the families and loved ones walking alongside them.

We invite our community to help increase awareness: Learn the facts about Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait, have conversations with your family and healthcare provider, share reliable information, and encourage others to learn about the importance of knowing their sickle cell status.

When we learn, share, and speak up, we help create a more informed and supportive community. 🩷💙

Turning Remembrance into Action: Honoring Carole Robertson Through Service

On September 19th, the Amazing Albany Chapter came together in an extraordinary demonstration of service, unity, and love for community as we honored the life and legacy of Carole Robertson.

Carole was only 14 years old when her life was tragically taken in the bombing of Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church on September 15, 1963. As a member of the Jack and Jill teen group, she represented a generation of young people who believed in a better future.

More than six decades later, her legacy continues to call us to action.

In partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we gathered our entire family - children, Teens, Mothers, Fathers, Associate Members, and supporters to roll up our sleeves and build 16 bed beds for children in our community.

Together, we measured, drilled, sanded, assembled, and built not just beds...but places where children can rest, feel secure, dream, and wake up ready to embrace another day. For we know Carole never had the opportunity to see the future she dreamed of.

We also collected bedding, pillows, pajamas, towels, and other necessities to provide families with the essentials for a peaceful night’s sleep.

We are grateful to all participants and to Sleep in Heavenly Peace for partnering with us to transform remembrance into tangible service. Thank you to WALB News 10News 10 for helping capture and share this meaningful day with our community.

Together, we continue to build dreams.
