This Saturday, i will be starting a new film cycle focusing on how certain cities are represented in films, and how these films play with the collective image of cities shaped by images we’ve seen. For the first edition i chose “The Belly of an Architect” by British director Peter Greenaway. Set in Rome and following the tragic decay of an american architect, Greenaways film deals with the myth of both monuments and masculinity, accompanied by a celebrated score by Wim Mertens and Sonic Youth collaborator Glenn Branca. The screening is a kick off event and part of the opening of NOOK's second location. Thank you tons for inviting me, Ioana Pasc
