🇹🇼Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, Kaohsiung
A view from above of one of the most important Buddhist sites in Taiwan.
The grand central avenue, flanked by pagodas and ceremonial halls, leads toward the Fo Guang Big Buddha, which rises 108 meters above the surrounding hills. Founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the museum was created to enshrine a sacred tooth relic believed to belong to Sakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha.
Surrounded by the green landscapes of southern Taiwan, the scale and symmetry of the complex are truly remarkable, blending spirituality, architecture, and nature into a single breathtaking scene.
