Moving Eyelands will celebrate Pride Month with ‘Another And All The Others,’ a curated screening program by film critic and journalist Lé Baltar featuring q***r and regional short films.

Featured films include:
• ‘Ang Halikan sa Water Fountain’ by Clyde Gamale
• ‘Hindi Nawawala sa Pagkawala ang mga Alaala’ by Emmanuel Pamaylaon
• ‘Mga Tala sa Kagandahan’ by Kukay Bautista Zinampan
• ‘Baklas Kalas’ by Lauviah Caliboso
• ‘Dikit’ by Gabriela Serrano

The screening is free and will take place on June 24 at 6:30 PM at Chapterhouse Creative Hub.

Some photos from last night's fundraising screening for in alignment with Labor Day. We thank our filmmakers for trusting and partaking into our event and to our spectators for showing up in patronage.

During our film dive, moderated by , we conversed on the similarities and differences of systemic injustices between provincial spaces and the metropolitan, our audiences dissected their impressions of the films, and how we decode films depending on where we watch and who we are— and the languages we speak. (Amongst other things we yapped about)

This was a special event in relation to the current political state and the crises we're in. In times of unrest, grief manifests in varied emotions. Resistance to oppression doesn't limit itself in what we voice out in the streets, or the community work we do by the mountains; it includes emotional labor and it starts within the self and it expands to mutual care for others.

We could only hope for gatherings such as these to be obsolete, but for now we thank you for joining us in solidarity of our jeepney drivers and all laborers.

After Langit Lupa (2023) at 4PM, we'll be screening our second program on the same day. Presenting our line up for the evening program. Grateful of our featured filmmakers from across the archipelago in solidarity in this fundraiser for our jeepney drivers. Please bear in mind that we have limited seats and will not conduct any reservations. This is a first come, first serve basis.

We'll accept donations through the QR code so share our post to bridge 's GCash account. We will also accept support in cash during the event and all proceeds go directly to PISTON PH.

With the state of current political events these past weeks or so, Moving Eyelands poses Langit Lupa (2023) as a love letter to the struggles in the island of Negros, its land and its people.

For over a decade, Berlin and New York-based artists Enzo Camacho and Ami Lien have developed a multidisciplinary practice addressing geopolitical relations by attending to localized forms of dispossession, survival, and resistance, particularly in the context of the Philippines. Their current work pays particular attention to agricultural practices and the exploitation of land and labor in Negros, an island known for sugarcane production. The prevalence of state-sanctioned violence that accompanies this plantation economy has led them to reflect upon mourning as a form of collective action. Throughout their field research, they work alongside activists, survivors, and other local community members to both attend to the loss of lives and livelihoods and gesture towards an undergrowth of resistant practices. —text from Active Cultures
