Now Playing @ 🩷🖤 THE MAYFAIR 🖤🩷

Based on the most important decision that would decide the most important day of history. The fate of the free world rested on it.

72 hours until D-Day and the Allies face an impossible choice. General Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) must decide whether to launch the largest seaborne invasion in history, or delay and risk losing the opportunity to liberate Europe.

Alongside him, meteorologist Captain James Stagg (Andrew Scott) faces the immense responsibility of delivering a forecast that could change the course of the war. The weather is uncertain. The stakes could not be higher. And time is running out.

72 hours. One decision. History on the line.

🤖 KLARA AND THE SUN ☀️

Now Playing @ 🩷🖤 THE MAYFAIR 🖤🩷

What does it mean to be human? And can artificial intelligence teach us something about love?

Klara (Jenny Ortega) is an AI companion who sees the world with extraordinary wonder and whose greatest wish is to find the perfect home. When she meets Josie, a young woman navigating a complicated relationship with her mother, Klara’s quiet optimism and unwavering loyalty begin to bring light into a family in need of healing.

Aotearoa's own Taika Waititi is directing and brings his trademark irreverance, playfulness and offbeat take on the human experience to this thought-provoking story.

🤖 Artificial intelligence. Very human feelings. And a little Taika magic.

🌿💔 SENSE AND SENSIBILITY 💔🌿

Now Playing @ 🩷🖤 THE MAYFAIR 🖤🩷

Based on Jane Austin's iconic masterpiece.

When the Dashwood family loses its patriarch, three sisters and their widowed mother are forced to leave their family estate behind and start again in a humble cottage. As Elinor, Marianne and Margaret navigate romance, disappointment and an uncertain future, matters of the heart become tangled with the harsh realities of money, class and survival.

Forget picture-perfect period glamour. This is a more earthy, grounded take on Jane Austen’s beloved classic, exploring the raw emotions beneath the bonnets and ballgowns.

As The New York Times puts it, this is period drama with grit, heart and humanity.

🐋 WHALEFALL 🐋

Now Playing @ 🩷🖤 THE MAYFAIR 🖤🩷

80 feet long. 60 tons. One hour of oxygen. One very big problem.

Following the death of his father, Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) dives off the California coast to recover his remains. But when he’s swallowed whole by a massive s***m whale, his mission becomes a desperate fight for survival. Trapped inside the belly of one of the ocean’s giants, with his oxygen running out, Jay must find a way to escape before time runs out. Josh Brolin also stars in this gripping survival thriller.

And here in Kaikōura, we know just how awe-inspiring s***m whales can be. But Whalefall asks a terrifying question: what if one swallowed you whole?

🌊 Experience the fight for survival on the big screen. Just maybe think twice before your next dive…
