What an amazing night for the opening of f-stop, Festival of Photography exhibition 🙌📸🤩

Kaipara College photography and music students students, and our after-school teen class wowed visitors with their spectacular imagery and musical talent! Red dots galore which is a huge encouragement for rangatahi and a great way to show how the Arts can build confidence, and showing in a gallery context offer professional development of practices. Well done to all the students and local artists who exhibited and performed, I'm very proud of the wonderful creative talent in our Helensville youth 👏 😀 Congratulations are in order for the teachers, Jo Mears, Kate Yoon and Nick Roberts for developing such a high caliber of the arts in your students, and also acknowledgement needs to be made to the parents who continue to encourage your kids in the creative industries, our local town is a much brighter place because of this so thank you 😊

Exhibition is on until 4th July, plenty of art still available for purchase ✨️ 😀

A unique twist for our Festival of Photography exhibition 🤩
Included in the show is an installation by our after-school teen class 'reverse sgraffito film roll' 🎥 🎞 The film strip runs through 2 gallery spaces with contemporary imagery uniquely sketched in by these talented individuals.
