Stewart Island Bunkhouse Theatre Home of A Local's Tail & Other Flicks The Bunkhouse is an historic Whaler’s Base building located on Stewart Island. Bookings are required.

Visitors to the Island, are now able to view this unique building and find out about its history, as well as have time to watch A Local’s Tail. This delightful, quirky 40-minute film introduces local characters, delves into the struggles and triumphs of this pioneering community, and gives you a tour of the whole island - all guided by local dog Lola. The sessions are individualised with access to

only two to five people per session. The one and half hour sessions are run on request and therefore able to fit in with the visitor’s itineraries. No film can be watched without a bag of popcorn. So of course, you have access to the Bunkhouse Theatre's world-famous popcorn machine to make your own! For further details go to our website -www.bunkhousetheatre.co.nz
