The timing is never the same. It depends on where you farm, the weather, the year.

But the wait is real. You watch the forecast, hoping for a dry spell. Cut too early and you lose bulk. Cut too late and the quality suffers.

So when the window opens, it's all hands on deck: mowing, baling, wrapping, before the weather turns again.

Crystal is a transparent silage film. That means you can see straight through the wrap to the grass inside.

But before it went to market, it had to prove itself. We tested it against the coloured film we already make.

Bales were made from one field: some wrapped in our usual coloured film, some in Crystal, then stored in exactly the same conditions. Same crop, same machines, same weather. The only difference was the wrap.

The result? Crystal kept the silage just as well. And now you can see that for yourself. 🤝

Over at Agroservice Elferink Albergen in the Netherlands, the grass was mown, tedded, raked and pressed into tight midi bales - then wrapped in Crystal film.

Firm, neatly wrapped, ready for storage. And because the film's clear, you can see the quality straight off. No surprises later on.

Het hoogseizoen is volop in beweging.
Met Crystal film b***n van Coveris Unterland is de inhoud van de bale geen mysterie! Je kunt de kuilage dwars door de doorzichtige wrap heen zien. Zo weet je waarmee je werkt voordat je hem opensnijdt. Is er iets niet goed? Dat zie je van buitenaf.

Dus als je b***n gaat verkopen, de koper kan precies zien wat hij krijgt.
