We are LAB-1: films, friends, and events in the heart of Eindhoven. An independent cinema and event space, a coffee spot by day, and a bar by night.

We are a home for internationals and locals, and a place to stay moved. At LAB-1 you can experience films, live music, exhibitions, parties and events in 1 building! LAB-1 stands for retro, coziness, dynamism and creativity, a place to enjoy, hang out and feel at home. In LAB-1 you can work, play games, chill or relax in the evening with a drink in our cinema bar. You can watch the best Hollywood,

music films, art-house, classic and documentary films in one of our five cinemas and attend a comedy night, concert or event in our event room. For the best parties you can go to the club on the second floor and at the same time you go one floor higher to attend one of our film marathons. We are much more than a cinema. A place to amaze yourself! In 2014, LAB-1 was temporarily located in the abandoned building of Philips Physical laboratory on STRIJP-S. And in 2017, LAB-1 was temporarily located in the oldest building of Eindhoven: the Mariënhage monastery. In 2018 we took over the former Euro Cinema/cinema at the Keizersgracht 19 in Eindhoven! What’s new at LAB-1 this week?🌟

Trainspotting - Danny Boyle's 1996 classic follows a group of friends caught between addiction, boredom, and the desire to escape Edinburgh, all set to one of the most iconic soundtracks of the decade. It gets a new life for its 30th anniversary!

Kontinental '25 - After a housing eviction in Cluj, a social worker is left questioning where personal responsibility ends and a broken system begins, in Radu Jude's darkly funny look at contemporary Romania.

Teenage S*x and Death at Camp Miasma - A summer camp, teenage desire, and a mysterious threat make for a particularly bad holiday. This q***r body-horror comedy gives the classic teen-camp movie a very strange makeover.

Sehnsucht in Sangerhausen - In a small German town, a group of people deal with work, relationships, and the feeling that life might be passing them by, in a quietly funny portrait of contemporary rural Germany.

Cría Cuervos - Fifty years after its release, Carlos Saura's haunting portrait of childhood and Francoist Spain remains unsettling, following a young girl whose memories and fantasies begin to blur.

The End of Oak Street - Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor face family tensions, dinosaurs and a cosmic mystery in this strange mix of suburban sci-fi and survival adventure.

The Rivals of Amziah King - Matthew McConaughey leads this offbeat mix of modern western, crime story and family drama, set in a world of beekeeping, bluegrass and small-town rivalries.

Sunny Dancer - Bella Ramsey stars in this warm and funny coming-of-age story about friendship, first love and making the most of being young.

Jim Queen - A loud and unapologetically q***r animated comedy about a Parisian gay icon who suddenly turns straight and desperately wants to change back.

On a String - A dry and funny New York indie about a young violinist juggling odd jobs, family chaos, bad decisions and an uncertain future.

Mariinka - Filmed over ten years in eastern Ukraine, this intimate documentary follows a group of young people growing up as war slowly changes everything around them.
