After a sold-out showing of LA HAINE at DEFF, this masterful French classic returns to Lumen for an additional 30th anniversary screening — with English subtitles. 🇬🇧

🎥 *La Haine* takes place in the *Banlieue Parisienne*, the bleak suburbs of the City of Light, where the police crack down hard against the constant threat of riots and vandalism.

We follow the trio through a tense day that inevitably spirals into violence. With inventive and gripping black-and-white cinematography, Kassovitz paints a powerful portrait of the times. Winner of the Best Director Award at Cannes.

We’re a little bit in love with this documentary. Who makes the best porridge in the world? Porridge?! Yes, porridge! The best porridge! THE GOLDEN SPURTLE will be showing at Lumen starting this Thursday. 🥣❤️

For thirty years now, the small village of Carrbridge in the Scottish Highlands has been the stage for a unique competition: the World Porridge Making Championships. With humor and dedication, contestants from all over the world compete for the title of world champion — using only oats, water, salt, and a wooden spurtle.

🥣🏴 THE GOLDEN SPURTLE is a heartwarming and hilariously funny documentary about, well… porridge! Featuring our very own Dutch contestant Miriam Groot () in a supporting role.
