A Sad and Beautiful World - Nino and Yasmina meet as young people in Beirut, lose touch, and find each other again years later. A love story repeatedly interrupted by violence and instability. Not a war drama, but an intimate portrait of two people trying to stay together in a world that keeps falling apart.

Mama'ku – Van Jakarta tot de Molukken - Dancer Cheroney Pelupessy travels to Jakarta with her reserved mother, the city where her mother grew up but has rarely spoken about. A poignant story of suppressed memories, colonial legacies and the hope for a closer bond, as two women search for the words for what went unspoken for years.

Treat Her Like a Lady - Single mum Sandra lives in Amsterdam with her two daughters, barely making ends meet. When unpaid bills pile up and she is accused of fraud, she fights with bravado, creativity and humour to keep her family together. Vibrant and full of heart, this Dutch film had its world premiere at IFFR.
