We are very excited to announce that Love-22-Love, a new documentary by Jeroen Kooijmans, will have its world premiere at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA)! The documentary is selected for the Envision Competition, a section dedicated to filmmakers who reach beyond the borders of cinema.

Love-22-Love is an ode to love, art, and darkness. Creating art is filmmaker Kooijmans’ reason for being , yet it also drives him to deep despair. The images are unbearably raw when Kooijmans films himself as he descends into a psychosis. But above all, the film is a love letter to his wife, who has been the light at the end of his tunnel for over 30 years. Love-22-Love shows Kooijmans as naked and vulnerable as he can possibly be. He goes further than he ever dared before, in a deeply personal film that is a declaration of love to life itself.

This year is off to a great start with Elena Lindemans' documentary ‘Onvoorwaardelijk’ (transl. Unconditional) becoming the 2nd most streamed documentary - shorter than 60 minutes - on the Dutch public broadcaster NPO in 2024!

Onvoorwaardelijk follows Dutch Yolanda, who falls in love with Billy, an American man convicted for murder. What motivates her to maintain a relationship with him when you can only love each other from afar?

The Kollective Takes the Stage at the EU Council.

On November 7th, The Kollective was showcased at the Palais de l’Europe in Strasbourg during the 2024 World Forum for Democracy. The Forum Talk, “The Kollective: Fighting for truth in a world of deception,” featured director Randa Chahoud and other key figures.
During the panel they discussed The Kollective’s themes of independent journalism, citizen activism, and democracy.

The Kollective premieres in early 2025, produced by Submarine and supported by Creative Europe, the Council of Europe, and the Netherlands Film Fund.

We are thrilled to announce that Fox and Hare Save the Forest has won the Festival Clapboard Award in the +6 category at MFF Junior Fest! 🎉 This children’s film festival, held in the Pilsen Region, focuses on fiction, animation, documentaries, and TV series for young audiences.

Here's what the jury had to say: "We liked every aspect of it; precise and affectionate stop-motion-like-3D animation, all the charming characters with their special traits, the overall message how friendship conquers all. The Kollective follows a group of citizen journalists who, after the sudden loss of one of their members in the Congo, get sucked into a globe-spanning web of lies and corruption. With an outstanding ensemble cast including Natascha McElhone (Californication), Céline Buckens (Showtrial), Felix Mayr (Unorthodox), Grégory Montel (Call my Agent), Gregg Sulkin (Marvel's Runaways), and Gijs Blom (The Letter for the King), The Kollective explores the price people are willing to pay to keep the truth alive.

The Kollective will launch in 2025 on France Télévisions, ZDF, Rai, Hulu (US), and Videoland (Netherlands).

📣 Exciting news! Dansker, our 2D animated feature, has received a minority co-production grant from the Dutch Film Fund!

🎉 Directed by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, known for his acclaimed film Flee, and co-produced by JaFilm, Submarine, and Doghouse Films, Dansker is based on the graphic novel trilogy by Danish author Halfdan Pisket. The film follows James, who flees to Denmark to escape the trauma and violence of war in Turkey, but finds himself haunted by his past as he struggles to protect his family.
