“Moi aussi, dit Père Ubu, je veux être un Grand de ce monde ! Moi aussi je veux ma guerre et liquider tous les fonctionnaires ! Moi aussi, quand j’écoute trop Wagner, j’ai envie d’envahir la Pologne! Le monde sera mien ! Au doigt et à l'œil les petits m’obéiront car le roi c’est moi et partout ce sera moi ! Je poserai mon cul sur le trône de Pologne et “merdre” à ceux qui ne me soutiendront pas ! Tous ceux qui ne sont pas avec moi, sont contre moi ! “

Une pièce écrite par Alfred Jarry, un jeune étudiant et jeune auteur qui, sans s’en douter, a écrit un texte majeur du théâtre français ! Ubu Roi est considéré comme la première pierre du théâtre de l’absurde, courant important du début du 20ème siècle.

A Sudanese refugees organization works to support people who have been forced to flee Sudan due to conflict, violence, or persecution. The organization provides humanitarian assistance such as food, shelter, healthcare, education, and legal support, while also supporting refugees in their integration into host communities. It advocates for refugees’ rights, safety, and dignity, and works toward long-term solutions through empowerment, peacebuilding, and community development

Moderator: Sahar Abdelrahim — Agile Coach, trainer, and keynote speaker with 20+ years of experience in IT, data, and Agile transformations.

Producers: Hamad Gamal & Sarah Bachellerie — whose film Onwards! explores the long roots of Sudanese resistance through voices of activism in exile

Translator: Hassan Ahmed is the coordinator of the Brussels Refugee Legal Helpdesk, and is actively engaged in community organizing and advocacy within the Sudanese diaspora in Belgium, where he is a member of the Sudan Solidarity Network collective.
