The people of Enugu West Senatorial District have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, for a second term in office, citing their policies, projects, programmes, and interventions that have positively impacted the nation, South East, and Enugu State in particular.

To make good on the endorsements, the people, who swarmed the Awgu Local Government Secretariat field in their thousands on Saturday, also presented a cheque for the sum of N100 million to Dr. Mbah for the purchase of his nomination form, vowing to defend their position with their last vote.

This was even as former President of the Senate, Senator Ken Nnamani, dismissed promises by some gubernatorial and presidential aspirants to do just one term, saying they were not being sincere with Nigerians.

Conducting the endorsement process, the lawmaker representing Enugu West Senatorial Zone, Senator Osita Ngwu, said their decision was based on conviction informed by evident results rather than sheer politics.

“Today, we can see the best Command and Control Centre to help improve our security in Enugu. We have Smart Schools in every one of our wards. We have seen Type-2 Healthcare Centres. We have seen roads.

“Before now, if you were going to Aguobu Owa through 9th Mile, it would seem like a journey of no return. But now, it takes you only a few minutes. It is the handiwork of Governor Peter Mbah. These are not promises; these are realities; these are dividends of democracy. This is what happens when leadership is bold. No weakness, no excuse, no apologies. Just results.

LAGOS APC REJECTS MALICIOUS FALSEHOODS, PUTS STAKEHOLDERS ON NOTICE, REAFFIRMS THAT INTERNAL DEMOCRACY WILL PREVAIL

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) strongly condemns and unequivocally rejects the malicious publication alleging a so-called plot to impose candidates ahead of the forthcoming legislative elections.

The report, purportedly based on claims by a faceless and self-styled group of “concerned and vigilant members,” is nothing more than a desperate fabrication, a reckless exercise in mischief, and a calculated attempt to inflame passions within our great party.

We state without equivocation that there is no plot, no clandestine meetings, and no predetermined list of candidates as falsely alleged. These claims are baseless, mischievous, and designed solely to create the false impression of crisis where none exists.

It is deeply unfortunate that certain elements, unable to advance their ambitions through legitimate party channels, have now resorted to the tired tactics of propaganda, blackmail, and anonymous media sensationalism. Such antics will neither intimidate the leadership of the party nor derail our established democratic processes.

The Lagos APC is by this statement formally putting security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and all relevant democratic stakeholders on notice regarding the activities of fifth columnists and political mischief-makers who are engaged in clandestine moves aimed at unnecessarily destabilizing and overheating the polity.

These actors, through orchestrated falsehoods and deliberate attempts to manufacture tension, seek to create an atmosphere of distrust and apprehension where none should exist. Their actions are clearly designed to undermine public confidence in the party’s transparent processes and to provoke avoidable political anxiety.

Some of you come online every day shouting, blaming only the President for the appointment of the INEC Chairman, as if the Constitution begins and ends there. That’s either ignorance or deliberate deception.

Yes, the President appoints. But he does NOT act alone.
Your Governor sat in the Council of State. He was consulted. He didn’t object. He didn’t walk out. He didn’t raise alarm. He was part of the process.

Your Senator the one you campaigned for and voted into office sat in the Senate and CONFIRMED that same nominee. Without that confirmation, there would be no INEC Chairman. Period.
So where was all this outrage then?

Or is it now convenient to act like victims after being active participants?

You cannot be inside the room when decisions are made, nod in agreement, and then run outside to start shouting when it suits your political agenda. that’s dishonesty.

If the appointment is bad, then EVERYONE involved shares the blame: The Governors who kept quiet.
The Senators who approved it.

The political actors who said nothing when it mattered.

Let's stop this cowardly habit of targeting one man while protecting others who were equally responsible.

If you want accountability, be bold enough to call out ALL those involved not just the one that fits your narrative.

The United States has now crossed a new line.

American forces have begun intercepting and seizing oil vessels linked to Venezuela, including ships connected to Russia.

World know what that means, it means corporations run the countries, run the world, and the people suffer.

So, there is no alternative for me, I must make my stand, and if Allah wishes, I shall die by following His path, the path that has made our country rich with farmland, with food and health, and even allowed us to help our African and Arab brothers and sisters.

I do not wish to die, but if it comes to that, to save this land, my people, all the thousands who are all my children, then so be it.

I have just concluded a constructive and candid discussion with President Donald Trump regarding the recent diplomatic tensions. We agreed that our shared priority is peace over conflict, hope over fear, and unity over division. Both sides will take the necessary time to address the concerns that have been raised, which we acknowledge are genuine.

We reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every citizen, anywhere within our federation, feels secure and enjoys the full protection of the state. This remains the fundamental principle of state policy, and we will discharge it with the seriousness it demands.

BREAKING: : Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, Dumps Labour Party for APC — Says “APC Means Well for Nigeria and Ndi-Igbo”

In a surprising political move, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has officially defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Opposition Hiding Under Free Nnamdi Kanu Protest To Seek Regime Change , Unfortunately Igbos Will Be The Scapegoats.

In an attempt to further incite people to participate in the mischievous campaign against the judiciary, deceptively tagged; protest, Omoyele Sowore made a post trying to compare Nnamdi Kanu, standing trial for terrorism, to MKO Abiola who was imprisoned by the military junta of Sani Abacha for insisting on reclaiming his freely given mandate in 1993.

Sowore knows what he is doing. He, in cahoots with some selfish opposition leaders, including the subsidy and forex cabals who have not forgiven President Tinubu for the courage to withdraw subsidy on petroleum products and floating the Naira, are combining forces to topple the Tinubu administration.

They had tried many strategies in the past, with none gaining any traction. Sowore, whose many protests had recorded very scanty compliance, as he is hardly able to mobilise up to 100 people to any of his many protests, jumped at the opportunity to lead this protest, knowing how emotional Igbos could get at anything that has to do with Biafra and any charlatan, like Nnamdi Kanu, who postures as a Biafran secessionist, to launch a campaign for a possible regime change.

I have listened to people talk about this, and I know that none among the organisers and sponsors of this protest really cares about Nnamdi Kanu, rather they are looking for any opportunity to topple the Tinubu government.

Whenever you talk about Igbo marginalisation, you are sure to get a lot of attention, but rarely does anyone of those who talk about it, care about supporting any idea that will bring an end to Igbo marginalisation. At most, they exploit the unpalatable political situation or the Igbos to further exploit them for their own political and other selfish gains.
