The film was long thought to be lost along with Exelsio’s other works. But in 2021, a copy was rediscovered after officials conducted an inventory of the Philippine National Archives to assess the aftermath of a fire. They managed to salvage 10 hours of the film was salvageable but it was missing its soundtrack.
The restored film will be live-scored by Southeast Asian musicians for the closing of SeaShorts 2022!
SeaShorts Film Festival 2022 will take place in MMU Cyberjaya from 21 to 25 September 2022 with the theme of ‘Future’. In addition to film screenings, there will also be talks, forums, workshops and master classes related to this year’s theme.
