Dopo il successo della prima edizione, torna il progetto cinematografico ideato dal Palazzo delle Esposizioni per unire le sue mostre e il cinema: un concorso internazionale per cortometraggi, inediti e non, che invita a ripensare i temi di una grande mostra attraverso le immagini in movimento. Antichi sentieri tra Oriente e Occidente”, che racconta il lungo e difficile viaggio che moltitudini di
uomini affrontarono per secoli tra Oriente e Occidente, per scambiare beni di lusso, reperire testi sacri, conoscere e dominare popoli lontani. Una delle esperienze più incredibili e affascinanti della storia dell’umanità, che ci porterà a scoprire che globalizzazione, melting pot e rete sono concetti nati più di duemila anni fa. Sono ammessi cortometraggi di fiction, documentari e di animazione, della durata massima di 20 minuti. Opere inedite realizzate appositamente, o, se prodotte precedentemente al nostro progetto, collegate ai temi proposti. I migliori cortometraggi saranno presentati in una rassegna evento nella Sala Cinema del Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma e il vincitore sarà premiato con una fotocamera Canon. After the success of the first edition, the short film project ideated by Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome to link its exhibitions with cinema, is back for its second edition. An International short film contest representing an occasion to share different point of view on the exhibition through cinematographic narration. Ancient Pathways Between East and West is the exhibition chosen for this new edition of the project and through which we will discover the long and tough journey from East to West, experienced for centuries by a large number of people exchanging luxury goods, tracing sacred books, discovering and dominating faraway cultures. One of the most incredible and fascinating mankind’s experience that will help us discover how globalization, melting pot and “network” are concepts whose origin can be traced back more than 2.000 years ago. Fiction, documentary and animation short films, of the maximum length of 20 minutes, are admitted to participate. Unreleased short films expressly made for the contest, or previously produced ones must be strictly linked to the exhibition’s main topics. The best short films will be screened at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome and the winner will be awarded with a Canon digital camera.
