Best Italian Feature Documentary Award goes to "Sulle ali dell'amicizia" directed by Andrea Andolina.

"This documentary is not simply the story of twenty years of life and adventures shared by a group of friends united by their passion for high-altitude hiking – here in the Apuan Alps. Above all, it offers a starting point for a much deeper, almost poetic reflection on disability.
At a time when slogans against inclusion are spreading with alarming ferocity, even going so far as to advocate separate spaces and classes for people with disabilities, the director’s work stands as a dividing line between light and darkness.
The film is therefore something precious that, today, we cannot afford to ignore obscurantism."

Special Mention Italian Contest goes to "Gridare agli anni luce" directed by Andrea Damato.

"A cosmically inquisitive exploration of the hows and whys behind the many lives and professional trajectories of Mino Damato: war correspondent, television presenter and science communicator, an indignant, unconventional seeker beyond rhetoric. His nephew creates this intricate and unconventional biography through archival material, testimonies and memories. A documentary about the relationship between reality and the unknown, which restores to its due recognition a man after whom, fittingly, “Asteroid 121019 Minodamato” was named."

Special Mention Italian Contest goes to "Non succederà più", directed by Arianna Proietti Mancini.

"Special Mention for taking on a story that moves from the intimate to the public, observing militant struggle and the courage of solidarity in Quarticciolo, on the outskirts of Rome. By shifting the focus throughout the filming process and bringing the relationship between the filmmaker and the protagonist into play, the close-up presence within the neighbourhood makes the film a portrait of contemporary life, bringing to light complex lives that have all but disappeared from the mainstream media."

Rai Cinema Award, dedicated to Franco Scaglia goes to "C'era una statua di Lenin - Ritratto scomposto della Moldavia", directed by Vincenzo Campisi.

"For transforming a journey through memory into an original and deeply human portrait of a former Soviet republic. Moving beyond the conventions of traditional reportage to create an ironic narrative suspended between the Soviet legacy and the search for a new identity."

Special Mention Rai Cinema goes to "Gridare agli anni luce" directed by Andrea Damato.

"For portraying with genuine emotion the many facets of a figure who left his mark as a journalist, writer and philanthropist at a time when living with HIV was still a taboo. An intimate portrait that weaves together archival material, memory and family."

Special Mention Italian Contest Young Jury goes to "Non succederà più", directed by Arianna Proietti Mancini.

"The choice was much debated.
We found ourselves comparing two realities that are both deeply similar and yet distinct. The film that spoke to us with the greatest urgency and sincerity brought us into an experience of suffering that has always been filtered through the media.
A community willing to come together and fight against the indifference of institutions and of those who choose not to see."
