“Ti abbiamo trovato. Tutti sanno dove sei.”
Questo è l’ultimo messaggio che Vincent ha letto, la notte in cui l’odio online è diventato reale.
Vincent Plicchi era un tatuatore. Aveva un negozio, un indirizzo, una vita vera e per mesi qualcuno lo ha perseguitato online fino a portare quella persecuzione fuori dallo schermo: telefonate al negozio, email per verificare dove lavorasse.
La Procura ha archiviato il caso. Nessuna istigazione, dice la legge. Ma per Vincent, quell’odio è stato reale fino alla fine.

Suo padre , in questo video, racconta cosa succede quando l’odio digitale smette di essere “solo online” e quando la giustizia non trova le parole per chiamarlo con il suo nome.

Vincent Plicchi was a tattoo artist. He had a shop, an address, a real life — and for months someone stalked him online until that persecution reached beyond the screen: phone calls to the shop, emails checking where he worked.
The Prosecutor’s Office closed the case. No incitement, the law says. But for Vincent, that hatred was real until the end.
His father Matteo, in this video, talks about what happens when digital hate stops being “just online” — and when justice can’t find the words to call it by its name.

In un’intervista a Giovani Reporter , scritta da Giorgia Orlando, il regista di Vincent racconta cosa significa immergersi nella vita di un ragazzo di 23 anni, leggere i suoi messaggi privati, e sapere che chi lo ha distrutto non è mai stato condannato.

Il cyberbullismo non è un problema di tecnologia: è un problema di strumenti mancanti, di controllo assente, di piattaforme troppo grandi per chi non è ancora pronto ad affrontarle.
«Se non vengono controllati questi dispositivi, ci si espone a un rischio molto grave per i nostri figli.»

Quando con abbiamo iniziato a scrivere questa storia, ci siamo dati una sola regola: restare fedeli alla verità dei fatti.
Abbiamo ascoltato la famiglia di Vincent, gli amici, i colleghi. Abbiamo ricostruito con cura anche i messaggi che ha realmente ricevuto durante la persecuzione online che ha subito.
Vincent è un cortometraggio di finzione, ma non si distacca mai dalla realtà.

When Davide Bellanca and I started writing this story, we set ourselves one rule: stay true to the facts.
We listened to Vincent’s family, his friends, his colleagues. We also carefully reconstructed the messages he actually received during the online persecution he suffered.
Vincent is a fiction short film. But it never strays from reality.

Il 19% delle vittime di cyberbullismo ha pensieri suicidari.
Come si arriva a quel punto? Attraverso l’esasperazione, l’isolamento, la mancanza di un supporto adeguato. Spesso, dice Mirko Valenti, criminologo AICS, anche il sistema scolastico fatica ad accorgersene e si danno per scontate cose che invece possono fare la differenza tra la vita e la morte.
Per questo VINCENT andrà nelle scuole. Per accendere un riflettore prima che sia troppo tardi.

“Perché non mi hai raccontato tutto?”
È la prima cosa che Matteo direbbe a suo figlio, se potesse.
Vincent non era solo, ma ha portato tutto dentro.
Ha scelto di non dire nulla a nessuno, forse per proteggere la sua famiglia dal peso reale di quelle accuse false.
Forse per paura di essere giudicato.
Un’accusa infamante, per un ragazzo che era stato un fratello esemplare. Una storia che deve essere raccontata per evitare che capiti ad altre persone.

Vincent wasn’t alone.
But he carried it alone anyway.
He softened the threats. He protected his father from the real weight of those accusations.
Maybe out of fear of being judged. Maybe out of shame for something he never did.
The most damaging accusation imaginable for a boy who had been an exemplary older brother.
Matteo found the truth after.
