ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಪ್ರತಾಪ್, ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ದಂಪತಿಗಳ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
ಇವರು ಯಾಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಆ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ತಮಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
ಒಂದು ದಿನ, ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದೆ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೆ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದ ಕಾರಣ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವರು ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರ ಪೋಟೋಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಲು ಪೋಟೋ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಎಷ್ಟು ಬೆಲೆಬಾಳುವ ಕ್ಯಾಮರಾ ಎಂಬುದು ಮುಖ್ಯವಲ್ಲ, ಆ ಕ್ಯಾಮರಾ ಲೆನ್ಸ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಯಾರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹಕನಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಅಂದು ಅರ್ಥವಾಯಿತು.
ಅವರು ತೆಗೆದ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ನಾನು ತೆಗೆದ ಪೋಟೋಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾರದ ಪೋಟೋಗಳಾಗಿತ್ತು, ನಾನು ತೆಗೆದ ಪೋಟೋಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಅವರ ಆ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆಯಾದ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಪೋಟೋಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಬಹಳ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಇದ್ದ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣದ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳು, ಉಪಕರಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತೆಗೆದ ಪೋಟೋಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭಾವನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನವಾಗಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
I have seen this man often clicking pictures of relatives,
especially couples at every function through his phone.
I have always wondered why he does so and thought it was funny at first.
But one day, when I approached him to ask about this,
he told me that his wife is unable to attend every function because of her illness,
so he clicks pictures of every relative and the events to show her.
Being a photographer, I understood that,
It's not the worth of the camera but who is behind the lense
that matters and the purpose that it is.
Those pictures which he took were priceless,
more beautiful and meaningful than mine.
In the end, all these technologies, equipment,
and skills couldn’t match his emotions.
