We're in the Indian Cinema Now section with a very strong lineup of Indian films in this year's edition of the festival.

And, we won the top prize.

The 1st Prize in the Co-Production Market at the Film Bazaar 2024, with a Cash Grant of $10000.

Our film is KURINJI (THE DISAPPEARING FLOWER), a prospective India-Germany/Europe Co-Production in Malayalam language, with Payal Sethi as the Writer-Director, and Thanikachalam SA as the Producer (Barycenter Films).

‘Kurinji,’ ‘Hunter’s Moon’ and ‘Shape of Momo’ claim the project and work-in-progress awards at Film Bazaar in India.

A Window on Asian Cinema

As a film World Premiering in Cannes, or anywhere in Europe (or Toronto+Sundance+Telluride), Busan was very important to us for our Asian Premiere. Very happy to be in Busan, in this section called 'A Window on Asian Cinema' that programs the very best of Asian cinema that premiered at top film festivals in 2024, or is premiering in Busan.

All film festivals 'In Retreat' has been in till now have been port cities. Busan's also a port city. Our upcoming film festival selections are in seaside cities as well. There must be something about the very best of film festivals and the sea.

We look forward to a great audience to discover our film here. We look forward to a great edition of the BIFF.
