The Exhibition Screen Season 2026/2027 kicks off at The EYE Cinema this Tuesday 15th September with a screening of 'James McNeill Whistler' at 7pm 👨‍🎨

📽 Working in close collaboration with Tate Britain, Exhibition on Screen is releasing 'James McNeill Whistler' about the pioneering artist’s stunning works and the incredible story behind them to cinemas around the world while the exhibition is still running.

Bringing this truly global artist to a global audience, 'James McNeill Whistler' will be an unmissable chance to see this visually spectacular artist on the big screen and appreciate the influence he has had on those who followed.
Boldly experimental and famously witty and irascible, Whistler disrupted the strict conventions of Victorian society in pursuit of a new cult of beauty, creating “art for art’s sake” and earning himself a place in the history of great art.

Both in flying form and out to enjoy a relaxing night at the pictures 🥰

They also picked up some sweets from our shop: can you guess which ones are their favourite? We'll give you one clue: they are very chocolatey...

The new release 'Celtic Utopia' plays daily at The EYE Cinema at 7:15pm from Fri 4th September and is included in the National Cinema Weekend special offer of €4 a ticket this Sat & Sun.

🎞'Celtic Utopia' tells the story of a new Ireland and its vibrant music scene, but also that of a post-colonial society wrestling with its heritage. A society where folk music carries both the oppression of the past and the dream of a bright future.
