Tá fíor-bhrón orainn bás Cathal (Charlie) MacGhiolla Mhichil, Aghaclogha, Tigh Damhnata, Co. Muineacháin a fhógairt go suaimhneach i dteach timpeallaithe ag a chlann, i ndiaith tinneas gairid.

We are saddened to announce the death of Cathal (Charlie) McElmeel, Aughacla, Tydavnet, Co.Monaghan, H18 YV04. Friday 7th August 2026, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after a short illness.

Pre-deceased by his parents Charlie & Mary, his brother Jimmy, daughter Siobhan and granddaughter Cáit Barbara.

Charlie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family; his wife Mary, daughters Barbara (Barry), Louise (Gavin), son in law Aidan (Siobhan RIP), his grandchildren Aoibheann, Liam, Aaron, Hannah, Ailayah, Caolán & Louisa-Mae, his great grandson Darragh, sisters Mary-Rose (Bill), Peggy (Sean) & Marie, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbours and especially close family friend Mary Sherry.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

Charlie’s remains will repose at his home on Saturday from 3pm - 8pm and Sunday from 3pm - 8pm. House strictly private at all other times please.

Parking for wake is adjacent to Charlie’s home, please follow the signed one way system.

Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11am at St. Dympna’s Church, Tydavnet. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Charlie’s Funeral Mass will be streamed live on; ‘Tydavnet Parish RC Churches’ page.

We are saddened to announce the death of Catherine Teresa (Teasie) Mc Kenna (née Keenan), Brackagh, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan, H18 KV08. Wednesday 5th August peacefully at home in the loving care of her family.

Predeceased by her loving husband Michael, son Owen, brother Sean, sisters Mary Mc Kenna & Margaret O’ Connor.

Lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters; Bernadette, Maria (Gerry), Kieran (Jacqueline), Enda (Michelle), Angela (Garrett), Brendan (Sheena), Catherine (Michael), daughter in law Sarah (Christchurch), grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Teasie will be deeply missed by her sister Eileen Mc Veigh and her brothers in law Michael Mc Veigh, Michael Mc Kenna & David O’ Connor

Teasie will be lovingly remembered by all the Mc Kenna and Keenan families, her many friends, neighbours and all who knew and loved her.

Teasie’s remains will repose at Mc Mahons Funeral Home, Emyvale, Co Monaghan (H18 FK80) on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm and Friday from 4pm to 8pm.

Teasie’s remains will leave her home in Brackagh on Saturday morning to arrive at The Church of the Sacred Heart, Carrickroe for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to ‘St Vincent de Paul’ c/o McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

House strictly private to family only on Saturday morning please.
