Today we are continuing with screenings of The Summer Book at 2:30 and 7:30 as well as Ish in-between at 5:00.

The Summer Book:
Based on Tove Jansson's beloved novel, The Summer Book tells the story of Sophia, a nine-year-old girl who is growing up fast, and her grandmother, who is nearing the end of her life.

Ish:
Ish and Maram are barely teenagers, but still old enough to endure police harassment and its seismic repercussions. Naturalistic performances, an atypical score and lyrical, monochrome images make this a standout British film, which stands up for characters who are too often marginalised – both onscreen and off.

Once Upon a Time in Suffolk is an anthology of nine new stories based on and inspired by classic fairy tales and Suffolk legends, produced by the cream of the region’s creative talents.

Tickets are selling VERY fast indeed so don’t delay, and we’re delighted that a Q&A has now been added for after the screening, live on stage with the following:

Matthew McGuchan – one of the lead producers of the film, and a co-founder of FILM Suffolk
Melissa Stockdale – segment producer for the ‘Ethel’ story.
Richard Kett – one of our team of 4 composers who scored the entirety of the film.
Charlotte Parry – experienced actress with Broadway credits, who plays Claire in segment ‘A Mid-Suffolk Night’s Dream’.
Annabelle Ward – young actress who plays Mia in the segment ‘Widdershins’.
