Walsingham Picture Palace was set up in the autumn of 2009 originally to allow us to screen Stephen Poliakoff's film 'Glorious 39' (which was largely shot in Walsingham). We are part of Creative Arts East Screen, a network of community cinemas in village halls across Norfolk and Suffolk. Our village community cinema usually shows films once a month, often with an interesting short as part of the p
rogramme. We are based at Walsingham Parish Hall in the High Street right in the centre of historic Little Walsingham. Our cinema is one of the smallest village screen groups but we always have a good time with refreshments and socialising from doors opening at 7pm, before the show. We are also associates of the Moviola village cinema network, the West Country pioneers of village cinema, who also assist us with short films, programming and screening licensing.
