It’s changed, it’s evolved, and it’s seen countless stories unfold right in the heart of our town.

This Friday, come and take a fascinating look back at Romsey Market Place through the years, with a special slideshow from Romsey Local History Society presented by Phoebe Merrick.

Romsey Town Hall is delighted to host the Romsey & District Society Annual Lecture 2026 on Tuesday 13 October 2026.

Dr Freddie Law-Turner, Chair of Trustees at King John's House and Museum, will share the remarkable story of one of Romsey's most treasured historic buildings. The lecture will explore the history of King John's House, the devastating fire of February 2025, its impact, and the exciting plans for the future of the Grade I listed Hall, museum and heritage garden.

🎬 We're delighted to welcome back local filmmaker Michael Grimmett back to Romsey Town Hall!

Michael, who lives in Romsey, is an award-winning filmmaker, Disability Inclusion Specialist and passionate advocate for accessibility and equality. Join us for a special FREE screening of his powerful documentary, Fighters (2025).

🥊 The film follows Matt Edwards, a lower-limb amputee boxer determined to achieve his dream, while shining a light on the barriers disabled people continue to face every day.

🎤 After the screening, stay for a Q&A with Michael to hear about the making of the film and why these conversations matter.

🍷 Complimentary drinks will be available before the screening and after the Q&A.
