Recently, I received a card from a client that stopped me in my tracks:
"Thanks for sorting our life out."
That simple piece of feedback reminded me just how much of an impact my work can haveānot just in creating a clean space, but in helping bring calm and order to peopleās lives. Positive feedback like this means the world to me, and Iām so grateful for every kind word or gesture I receive.
A few years ago, I never would have imagined myself here. Back then, I was a nurse with a career I loved, helping people during some of the most significant moments of their lives. I thought Iād be in that role forever, but life had other plans. A series of personal challenges turned my world upside down and forced me to step away from my career to focus on rebuilding my life.
During that time, I hired a cleanerāsomething Iād always thought of as an impossible luxury. But it turned out to be a lifeline. Having someone help me with the day-to-day gave me space to breathe and showed me just how transformative a little extra support can be.
When I was ready to take small steps forward, I started cleaning for friends. At first, it was just a way to get out of the house and feel useful, but it quickly became something so much more. I found peace, pride, and even joy in itāfeelings I hadnāt had in a long time. What began as a stopgap has turned into my passion.
That card reminded me of something I hadnāt realised: Iām still doing what I set out to when I first became a nurseāmaking a real difference in peopleās lives. And that realisation was such a cathartic moment for me.
