Perranporth Airfield & young driver centre Perranporth airfield is the only local site where you can learn to drive from as young as 12 years old in a controlled environment with parents/ guardians

Perrranporth airfield is a 350 acre site with 3 Tarmac runways , The site is broken up into three section , section 1 is aviation aircraft are based here on site and use only one runway at a time . Section 2 is our new driving centre the driving centre is aimed at anyone learning to drive from as young as 12 years old . You just turn up in a car with someone that is road legal and that is happy to

give you guidance, you pay your entry fee and away you go , we have just under a 5 mile course with junctions ,roundabouts, reversing areas , and much more , we feel this will give people a real good head start and will save people money on lessons . Section 3 is our event hire , the site here is brilliant to cater for a range of events we have had car shows , movie filming and much much more and we are always very happy to work with you to make the site work for you. Admission £15 per person kids go free admission is cash only . Cards and cash accepted elsewhere at the event.
Gates open just after 8am track action starts 11am until 3pm
Friendly dogs on leads welcome.

Spectators £15 per person under 16s go free.
Drag race from £15 after admission. Crash helmet and full driving licence required.
Show & shine no charge after admission
All vehicles are welcome at spitfire raceway Cornwall
Gates open at 8am
Track action 11am to 3pm
Don’t forget to you can camp on site. Enjoy the events and the local area.
All vehicles have a safety check for drag racing and track .

Join us at Perranporth Airfield tomorrow evening for some of the best uninterrupted views of the eclipse – with the wide-open skies of the airfield and no buildings in the way.

Our café and bar will be staying open until 9pm, so grab some food or a drink, find a good spot and enjoy the eclipse with us.

Plenty of free parking and everyone welcome.

Here are just a few of the fantastic photos from this week’s driving sessions at Perranporth Driving Centre! 🚗😁

It’s been another brilliant week with lots of young drivers building confidence, learning new skills and, most importantly, having an amazing time behind the wheel.

Whether they’re taking their very first drive with one of our qualified instructors in one of our dual-control cars or learning in the family car on our private road network, every session is fun, safe and unforgettable.

We’re open 7 days a week, and if you’re using your own car, there’s no need to book – simply turn up and drive!

Looking for something fun and different this weekend?

We still have a limited number of driving lessons available this Sunday at Perranporth Driving Centre.

If your child is 1.2 metres tall or above, they can learn to drive one of our dual-control learner cars with a qualified instructor on our private 5-mile road network around the former RAF runways.

They’ll learn real driving skills in a safe, traffic-free environment while having an unforgettable experience.

Not ready for a lesson? You can also bring your own car and let them practise on our private roads – no need to pre-book, just turn up and drive!
