Strength

Every time this card appears before me I can’t help but smile and think “Yes, I hear you!”
The Strength card is connected to the element of fire and very much to the sun sign of Leo, which both describes me personally pretty well 🔥♌️🦁
But what it is talking about we all have experienced.

The great beast that lives inside us, whether that’s anger, jealousy, temper, lack of confidence… it has many names, might need taming today.
I think I said this many times, this is not about ignoring or suppressing any of those feelings, but understanding where they come from and doing your best not to be governed by them.

Try your utmost today to channel inner peace, don’t let your ego run wild or your fears dictate what you say and do.
This isn’t about playing it small, this is about not roaring when a confident look and knowing word does way more to keep things in check.
The feelings that are bubbling up today are messengers though and you do need to listen to them, but not give in to a knee jerk reaction and do more damage than good.

Seven of Rods/Wands

When this card appears some of these things might be challenged by people on the outside. An opposition is forming designed to make you smaller.

Here’s the thing though, you absolutely possess the ability to succeed against all those opponents. You really have the upper hand and definitely the moral high ground!
Don’t hesitate to assert your own point of view, because you do actually know better here.

Tie up some lose ends, if you have to. Stand your ground, make your own decisions and rely on your inner strength today.

Ace of Vessels (trad. Cups)

All tarot cards draw on ancient symbolism and this one has often been compared to the idea of the Holy Grail, the life giving cup tightly connected to the final days of Jesus Christ.
It’s the connection to divine love and something greater than ourselves that shows itself in the overflowing waters.
That might all sound quite big and dramatic, but falling in love is a divine feeling, is it not?

In a more general sense, think newness with this card, new love, new start, new appreciation for something older, new opportunities, new joy… you get the point. A happy situation is about to come your way or is already here.
Let your positive emotions overflow a bit today, you deserve it.

Oh this card usually hurts. It’s often heralds an ending that you haven’t necessarily much control over or you can’t change… and maybe you shouldn’t.
Remember when I said yesterday that in the tarot swords concern themselves with all things that go on in our mind? This one too!

Despite the visual on this card in most decks, this isn’t a physical ending, but definitely a mental one. A situation, a relationship, a problem find a dramatic end. You might not have chosen it like this, but it is what’s happening and now you need to deal with it.

What if I said that maybe in the long term this was not the worst thing? Maybe the universe intervened before you tangled yourself up even worse? With time you might realise this was for the best.
Easy? Hell no! But this cycle is now ending, so prepare yourself for impact today.
Once this is done, it won’t get worse and the only way is up.

This ace usually brings a moment of great mental clarity, areal AHA! moment.

Maybe you are being challenged to take a stand today and you might even be worried that this might be a losing battle. But you have literally just pulled the sword from the stone! Trust this new found energy to pull you through and follow that spark your mind just ignited!

Today is not the day to shy away from problems, you still have an ace up your sleeve that nobody might expect yet.

The King of Pentacles

The Devil

The Devil is the stand-in for everything that tempts, burdens, restricts and misdirects us.
When being a slave to your desires outweighs your better judgment. It’s when you choose the path of least resistance, not the one that’s actually the right one.

This could be stemming from a lack of confidence or fear that you can’t change anything and are powerless.
Don’t let life make decisions for you, those chains you think are holding you down can be slipped at will.
No, not necessarily easily, but possible nonetheless!

The biggest skill the Devil has, is lying to you about your own inner strength. This can be small things, like buying something you shouldn’t or much bigger things like addiction.
You CAN change this, don’t be tempted today and tomorrow you are already stronger.
And as always when this card appears I will tell you that if you can’t do it alone, reach out for help. It might be the best thing you’ll ever do.
One step at a time everything can change, but only if you don’t listen to the voice that says you can’t!
