Card of the day
Sunday, 18th of October

The Emperor

This card is the epitome of independence, resisting external influences and of moving in your own, totally self determined direction.
It is also about saying no to whatever you are unhappy with!
Itā€™s about being in charge, in control of your own life, your own authority.

But this can also go into a direction that imposes authority on others.
Every Emperor starts as a rebel, then turns into the opposition, then alternative and eventually becomes the new establishment.
It is fantastic if you are your own boss, but resist telling others what to do with their live!

As a daily energy this card reminds you to stay in charge of your life, your decisions. Donā€™t be swayed by others, the latest trend, the new shiny thing. You have earned your right to say ā€œnoā€ to a direction others think better for you. No need to be obnoxious about it either though. Stay firm but kind!

Card of the day
Saturday, 17th of October

Seven of Cups

So many options! It feels as if all doors have opened at once and now you have no idea which way to go. Or maybe at this point itā€™s just a myriad of ideas that are swirling around your head, causing all kinds of confusion.
You have waited ages for some inspiration, now you have too much of it!

Before this moment of opportunities goes by, and it will, you need to make a decision which one is the one for you.
The problem obviously is, how do you know which one of all these ā€œdoorsā€ is the one that leads to where you want to go?
You need to think about it and then give it your best guess.

Today you might have to make a choice, make concrete decisions as to what you want to do. If you donā€™t, all these wonderful ideas and choices remain castles in the air and the energy will pass.
Itā€™s a card of the day energy, itā€™s not very likely that this is life changing. Just take your pick before the day is over.

Card of the day
Friday, 16th of October

Eight of Swords

How on earth did you get into this situation?
How did you get pushed into the corner you seem to currently inhabiting? Why is there no reasonable way out of there?
Very valid questions to describe whatā€™s going on in your mind right now.

This card is about perceived limiting situations, too many obstacles in your path and feeling a bit trapped and hopeless. Of course some of it is a legitimate reaction to whatā€™s in front of you, but are you seeing it all clearly?
We should remember that the swords deal with everything going on in our minds and one thing is certainā€¦ our minds lie to us!

If you feel a bit trapped today, feel like whatever lies ahead is impossible to navigate, then what you really need is more information about your possibilities and looking at your options clearly.
Right now your mind is going into flight mode and panics when it seems impossible to run away.
That doesnā€™t help any situation!
Take the blindfold off and use some rational thought! Itā€™s not fun whatā€™s coming, but not as bad as you think it is either.

Card of the day,
Thursday 15th of October

The Knight of Wands

Yes I double checked todayā€¦ Tis the Knight not the King šŸ˜…
This Knight is full of energy, daring, adventurous and always moving forward, never looking back.
Looking for answers to questions that havenā€™t even been asked yet, keen to experience new things. He is the kind of spirit that has extra energy to burn, which is what keeps him going.

At the heart of this card is simply getting on with it. Do what you have been wanting to do. Remain upbeat and positive, with that kind of energy you are bound to get where you want to be faster! Everything is a ā€œgoā€ in this card.
No ifs or buts, just forward in leaps.

Where yesterdays Knight was cautious and planning, this one here is more energetic and even a bit daring.
After thinking over all the minute steps yesterday, today it could be time for bigger gestures. Run donā€™t walk is the message. Get yourself out there and do the thing!

Card of the day
Wednesday, 14th of October

The King of Pentacles

This King is the embodiment of worldly success and accomplishment. He has found his place in life and has built a secure world up around him. He is practical thinking through and through, takes measured risks, sets achievable goals.
His energy is earthy and grounded to the core.

It is possible that this kind of person is around or about to be in your life to help you, guide you, move you forward. Or it falls to you to be the practical and responsible adult that helps everyone else keep their head on straight. Thereā€™s real, down to earth confidence going on here.

It is possible that today you get unexpected validation from higher up the food chain or that practical things that have dragged on for a while are coming to a good conclusion. Hard work is paying off.
The pentacles suggest that this could always be a money thing and the king energy here is a very good sign. He is here to reassure you that your material world is okay or that help is at hand!

Card of the day
Tuesday, 13th of October

The (Autumn) Devil

Well, well, here we go again! You know what you are doing isnā€™t good for you, donā€™t you?
You know you really shouldnā€™t be doing this, right?
The Devil in the tarot is a symbol for all the things, people and activities that tempt us into behaviour that can only lead to misery.

If we look at this realistically, we are our own devil. This isnā€™t the world forcing our hand, this is us giving in to temptation. Thatā€™s not always damaging. A little bit of deliciousness keeps us happy, but overindulgence is just not a good idea.

As always, remember that this is a card-of-the-day energy. Although the devil can signal addiction problems and loss of control, itā€™s more likely that this is something more easily overcome.
Trying to eat healthier and someone buys you a bar of your favourite chocolate. Having to get up early, but the new season of your favourite TV series just dropped.
Thatā€™s the kind of vibe hereā€¦
Indulge a little bit maybe, but try to stay in control!
