Love HOME? HOME is a place for curiosity seekers, for lovers of the dramatic, the digital and the deeply engaging, for radicals and reciprocators, in the heart of Manchester. Our two theatres are a playful platform for new, commissioned work. Our five cinema screens light up with challenging, independent, provoking films. The gallery space

is home to the very best in contemporary art. HOME is for everyone. We like to think of it as a place where you can engage with other arts lovers through our exciting and inspiring events. That goes for our page, too. Here, we’ll be sharing images, videos and other updates from our theatres, exhibitions, cinemas, events, bookshop, bar and restaurant. We’d love to hear from you about how we’re doing, so please post any questions or comments to our wall.

Thanks to your support, Made in Manchester has already contributed so much to Manchester Open 2026. During our March Match Week, you helped us raise £7,247 to help make this year’s Manchester Open the most impactful.

The exhibition runs until Sun 9 Sep, so there is still time to be part of supporting it.

Every donation helps:

🎨450 artists from across Greater Manchester to exhibit their work,

🏆Five Open Award-winning artists access mentoring and development opportunities,

🖌The delivery of our first ever Little Open with children from three local schools.

The Manchester Open is a collective portrait of our city-region – built from the creativity, stories and perspectives of the people who live here.

Last month, children from Varna Primary school visited their own work in HOME's Inspire Gallery!

Little Manchester Open: Dream Worlds was created by children and young carers from Varna Community Primary School in Openshaw, Rushbrook Primary Academy in Gorton, and Co-op Academy Broadhurst in Moston.

Throughout spring, the children and young carers from the three primary schools worked with HOME’s Creative Engagement Practitioners to explore the Manchester Open Exhibition, share their views on artworks, simulate a selection panel, and create their own dream worlds in clay.

Check out the exhibition in our Inspire Gallery, running until Sun 6 Sep.

Thank you to our generous project supporters The Oglesby Charitable Trust, The Granada Foundation and Brian Mercer Trust.
