The club shows films approximately fortnightly at Maldon Town Hall from September through May each year, for a remarkably modest annual membership cost - see website, membership section. Space to mingle while you wait for the film to start, along with a glass of white or red wine or a can of fizz purchased at the bar, creates a sociable occasion. See the film schedule on the website. The last film of this season, "Toni Erdmann" (15), showing on Wednesday 23rd May at 8pm at Maldon Town Hall. Free to members; guests welcome for £3. Wishing all our members a good summer and hope to welcome you again to start the new season on 11th September with Lady Bird.

Screening "Manchester by the Sea" (15) on Wednesday 28th Feb at 8pm in Maldon Town Hall. Free to members; guests welcome for £3 each. For film and club information, see https://t.co/0n77iL1LbI. This film won awards at the Oscars, BAFTA and Golden Globe ceremonies of 2017.

Screening "Moonlight" (15), Wednesday 17th Jan at 8pm at Maldon Town Hall, instead of the advertised film for that night "The Brand New Testament" for which a screening licence is not available.

14/01/2018

The film on Wednesday 17th January will be Moonlight (15), replacing the film The Brand New Testament, for which no licence is currently available for public screening and was listed in the Club's brochure, leaflets and other publicity. When the schedule was published last year the committee was aware of the possibility that a licence might not become available for The Brand New Testament and selected Moonlight as a stand-by film from the members' voting results. Moonlight won three awards at the 2017 Oscars, including Best Motion Picture after it was wrested from La La Land.

Screening "Ethel and Ernest" (PG) on Tues 19th Dec at 8pm, followed by a Q&A with the director, Roger Mainwood. Members and guests are welcomed for nibbles provided by the club for its social evening from 7.30pm. Guest entry £3 per person.
