Young con man Martin Taylor (played by Sting) is out grifting on the streets of London when he happens across Tom Bates (Denholm Elliott), a middle-class family man who, Martin quickly learns, has a disabled daughter at home who’s been left brain-damaged by a hit-and-run accident.

Pretending to be an old love interest of the girl, Pattie (Suzanna Hamilton), Martin soon tricks his way into the family’s countryside home, where he promptly charms mother Norma (Joan Plowright) and convinces her to let him stay for a few days to be close to and care for Pattie – much to the wariness of Tom, who questions Martin’s intentions. As the young man ingratiates himself more and more into their family life, it soon becomes clear that he harbours a much more sinister purpose.

Charly Records, in association with Screenbound Pictures, presents 'NORTHERN SOUL...STILL BURNING!'

This special edition 4-track EP, from the soundtrack to the new Northern Soul documentary, commemorates the official theatrical release in the cinemas across the UK, Spring 2026.

Featuring four iconic tracks from the heyday of Northern Soul and clothed in an exclusive picture sleeve shot inside Wigan Casino in 1976 by celebrated British photographer Red Saunders: “It was a priceless assignment – a story about Northern Soul, specifically the Wigan Casino. The article was written by one of my favourite writers on the magazine (Sunday Times), Gordon Burn. At that time, “Keep the Faith” was the manifesto, with R&B lovers and multi-racial dancing happening all weekend long.”

Screenbound have boarded world sales on the Birmingham set and filmed action thriller Lotus 🪷

Written, directed, produced and starring alongside producer Alan McQueen.

Lotus follows an ex-special forces operative who accidentally uncovers a dangerous conspiracy between a corrupt police officer and a local gang to flood the city with a lethal drug.

"We're so proud to bring the city of Birmingham to the big screen with Lotus. The character, beauty, grit and grime of Birmingham is reflected perfectly" say Phillip Ray Tommy.
