We want to reach out and feed an appetite for film as a response to all the cinema closures in our area over the years. There has been an under lying creative movement in the area, and Catford Film want to be a part of the growing artistic community to develop film beyond the current Youtube generation. We aim to:
** Entertain, educate and embrace what great about our community through a common
interest in film.
** Promote the work of independent film makers by screening short films at our events
** Create some amazing outdoor family film screenings
** Hold regular feature film screening at the Catford Constitutional
To make sure these great events can happen we have started a crowd funding campaign on Spacehive under the banner CATFORD FILM FESTIVAL. https://www.spacehive.com/catford-film-festival
The support we receive through this campaign will help us to pay for the licences and promotional literature required to provide a unique and exciting year for film in Catford. We hope that the interest from the community in this campaign will provoke a favourable response from other funding bodies to ensure the festival goes ahead, and we can stake our position firmly within Catford growing artistic community.
