🥁 Borrower of the month is...Natalie from Dalston 👏

Every month we ask our newsletter subscribers to choose who should win £20 borrowing credit. Natalie's was their favourite story this month. 🛋🏆

"We inherited a sofa which is in great condition but was dirty. Library of things carpet and upholstery cleaner made the sofa good as new. Upcycling and recycling is made easier with library of things"

We love that Natalie was able to rescue the sofa with the help of Diana the Carpet Cleaner. A 'new' sofa for £22.50 isn't bad all! Plus they got £20 to spend on their next rescue mission! 🙌

Outsourcing work or hiring a handyman can be expensive. If you're on a budget and want to then consider your local Library of Things for tools!

It's a super easy way to get those DIY tasks done without having to book someone in to do it & also without having to splash out on expensive tools that you might only use a handful of times!

Library of Things user Luke did and he had this to say:
“We used Tanya the Tile Cutter recently to cut the tiles for the front step of our house. Previously, this was some badly-laid bricks surrounded by an unfinished wall for a porch. Tanya coped admirably with the 20mm thick sandstone tiles we chose. The step now looks so much smarter.
This is (hopefully!) one of the last things we need to do for our house refurb, which has also involved the impact drill and carpet cleaner from Library of Things, tho we'll perhaps need the pressure washer to clean the front drive!”

Black History Month is coming to a close and we loved this story from our friends down at Woolwich Library of Things !

This is what they had to say:
"We often have family round on a Sunday and we thought we would make this one an extra special one. We borrowed the projector from Library of Things to view some art by Black artists on the big screen - it's Black History Month after all!

It was a great experience and we were able to talk about how the art made us feel - so great to see the art up close and so large too. We plan to do the same again, but this time watching films by famous Black directors. The whole evening was a success! The projector was the price of a bottle of wine (with the 25% concession) so we felt it was a very affordable night's entertainment for the whole family."

Sewing Machines have good availability for October! 🤩

Whether you're looking to make a homemade halloween costumer or get your stockings made ahead of time for Christmas, don't forget we've got a sewing machine for that! 💪

This photo was sent in by a user at our the Dalston Library of Things who changed three pieces of clothing and made a small bag by hiring the sewing machine for just £9 a day. They say that it was so easy and put them in a good state of mind! 🥰

We love this borrower story from our friends over in Kentish Town 💪
They just received this lovely photo sent in from a borrower who used their Staple Gun to make a sitting bench out of a table!
